Focused Moments:

February – Relationships – Family

Full Focus Planner Tip:

Four SMARTER family relationship goal samples

Maintaining a balanced life is one purpose of the Full Focus Planner.

We may not realize that we can actually set goals to improve relationships.

I am often asked how to write relationship goals.

Here are some samples. Take them and make them your own as you walk through the Full Focus Planner SMARTER GOALS.

GOAL SAMPLES:

Go on 52 dates this year with my spouse. (Aim for one date per week as you add them to the calendar during each quarterly preview.)

Make a list of 12 fun family activities for the quarter. Schedule dates for them on your calendar. Pick each one by random until all are completed within this 3-month time period.

Go on a 7-day road trip with the whole family to Colorado by August 1, 2023.

Develop the habit of a prayer time with my spouse every morning at 6:30 am as part of our morning routine, beginning April 1 through June 30.

What each Enneagram Type wants you to know about how to love them:

Type One: Do your share and do it well, so I do not have to do all the work.

Type Two: Describe what you value about me.

Type Three: Let me know you are proud of me for me, not for just what I have done.

Type Four: Be authentic by sharing your feelings with me.

Type Five: Give me time to process my feelings and thoughts.

Type Six: Be honest, loyal, and not too demanding.

Type Seven: Listen to my dreams and my stories. Share my enthusiasm with me.

Type Eight: Be aware of the sensitive side behind my power and strength.

Type Nine: Tell me that my presence matters.
