Focused Moments: April
Adjust Your Focus. Transform Your Life.
Clarity:
Gain clarity in your life domains to create consistent life balance.
Do you have a single focus?
At Terrie Power Coaching, we often talk about the need to focus in order to achieve your goals.
But this doesn’t mean that you target that one spot and never move to look at others. We need to have various pictures. A photographer learns that focusing on a single point can transform a simple landscape shot into a work of art. Yet, if the photographer only used the same perspective for every picture, the results would be boring. The photographer finds the focal point, then moves to other locations to take the same pictures from new and interesting angles.
In the Full Focus Planner Community, we divide life and goals into nine domains. But the truth is that life is interconnected.
For instance, our physical health affects our work performance, and work stress can impact our health. Our emotional state affects our social life, and strong friendships can improve our emotional well-being. Therefore, all life domains require appropriate attention.
Perhaps you’re feeling great physically, but your career isn’t moving forward. Or you’re enjoying new hobbies but feel disconnected from your spouse.
How do you rate each of these areas in your life?
Body
Mind
Spirit
Love
Family
Community
Work
Money
Hobbies
Write down each domain area and rate the 1 – 10. One being the least satisfied and ten being the most satisfied.
Pinpoint which areas are going well and which ones need work. This will help you choose which areas to set goals for. You don’t have to set goals for every single domain, just the ones that need some attention.
As you focus on the areas to improve, listen to your gut about what you really want.
If you need some help, find a mentor or coach to guide you along the way.
We are here if you need us.
Have an empowered week,
Terrie
