Enneagram Types

Stress Paths

Today we are starting the four week of our six weeks series on the Enneagram Basics and Productivity. The Enneagram is one of the tools we use to help disorganized people achieve their goals and increase productivity.

This week in the Uniquely Focused Community and the Terrie Power Coaching social media, we are exploring the wings of the Enneagram Types.

The Enneagram personality system proposes that our true nature is always evolving, while our personality is a set of learned habits. We grow and connect with our true nature, by becoming aware of our personality patterns and working to break free from them. By using the Enneagram, we can learn to step out of our comfort zones and live more fully in the present moment, unlocking our true potential.

We can do this by leaning into our growth path. Understanding the growth path for each Enneagram type can help us become our best selves.

Here are some key points regarding the growth path for each type:

Type One: The Growth path for Ones leads them toward the positive aspects of Type Seven. They become more spontaneous, carefree, and playful. They let go of perfectionism and enjoy life more fully.

Type Two: Twos grow toward Type Four, accessing creativity, intuition, and individuality. They learn to look at their own needs and desires rather than trying to please others.

Type Three: Threes grow toward Type Six, becoming more grounded, loyal, and trustworthy. They learn to value themselves for who they are, not just for what they achieve.

Type Four: Fours grow toward Type One, gaining a greater sense of purpose, structure, and responsibility. They channel emotions into positive action rather than getting lost in feelings.

Type Five: Fives grow toward Type Eight, becoming more assertive, confident, and engaged with the world around them. They become empowered as they turn from isolation to share their knowledge and expertise with others.

Type Six: Sixes grow toward Type Nine, finding inner peace, calm, and acceptance. They learn to trust themselves and others, letting go of fear and doubt.

Type Seven: Sevens grow toward Type Five, becoming more focused and introspective. They are able to sustain deeper connections with others. They learn to balance their desire for adventure and novelty with the need for stability and depth.

Type Eight: Eights grow toward Type Two, becoming more nurturing, compassionate, and able to connect with others on a deeper level. They use their strength and power in service of others rather than just for their own gain.

Type Nine: Nines grow toward Type Three, becoming more goal-oriented, productive, and self-assured. They take action and pursue their dreams with confidence and clarity.

Moving into your Enneagram growth path requires an understanding of your personality type and patterns of behavior.

This can be achieved through self-reflection, mindfulness practices, therapy, and working with an Enneagram coach.

Identify and acknowledge your weaknesses and areas for improvement while also embracing your strengths and positive qualities.

From there, developing new habits and behaviors that align with your growth path.

This may involve stepping out of your comfort zone, practicing self-compassion, and embracing new perspectives and experiences.

By learning the growth path for your type, you can find new ways to change your mindset and become your best self.

Uniquely Yours,

Terrie
